posted by Heedayah On the 10th of February , we learnt about a scene from The Merchant Of Venice . Mr Chua give us a piece of worksheet containing a passage about Shylock wanting to cut pound of flesh from Antonio and Portia is talking about the bond to Shylock . The lesson was taught by we doing the worksheet for 10 minutes . Then Mr Chua told us to pass our worhsheet to our row leaders and after passing our worksheet , Mr Chua wanted to discuss the answer together . He chooses the student to answer th question by using the 'Bottle Of Happiness' . After going through the worksheet , Mr Chua gave us another worksheet to do as homework since we do not have time do it . Before we do it as homework Mr Chua want to discuss the passage containig lines of Shylock and Antonio . After i read th passage , i understand why Shylock hated Antonio. Its because Antonio has insulted Shylock by calling Shylock a misbeliever , cut-throat dog and he spit on Shylock's Jewish clothes .
I felt that the lesson was good . It makes me understand more about The Merchant of venice . The part that was good when we were broken into three
groups and we must read it out loud . We can end the lesson on time if the class do not waste time and do not make unnecessary noise .
What can i apply to my personal life about the lesson is not to be racist as if we are being racist we may not have enough friends and we may not know about others culture and religion .
The lesson is relevant to Singapore because singapore is a multi-racial country and we must know other races culture and religion .
So that all for literature lesson on 10th February .
